Frequently Asked Questions

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes, totally!  Hope 100.7 and  93.7 The Light are ministries of Strong Tower Christian Media, which is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization.  STCM is, also, a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), an accreditation agency dedicated to helping Christian ministries earn the public’s trust through honest and responsible stewardship.

What is the difference between a pledge and a gift?

When we receive your support via cash, credit card, or a check, we refer to it as a gift or a donation. When you promise to donate as the Lord provides, we consider this a pledge or faith promise. Typically, donors make pledges during our annual SHARE fundraisers for a period of 12 months or more.

How is my donation used?

Your financial support makes our broadcast ministry possible. Without it, we simply cannot operate. Your donations provide for our expenses, such as towers, transmitters, translators, antennas, and facilities, electrical expenses, equipment purchases and maintenance, phone lines, bandwidth for Internet streaming, computers and studio equipment, office supplies, promotional expenses, music licensing, ministry expenses, and staff salaries and health insurance.

What is the most effective way that my donations can help the station?

Donations of ANY amount, given in ANY way are deeply appreciated and helpful to the broadcast ministry! We offer many ways for our donors to give and want them to use whatever payment methods are best for them. However, the most cost effective, convenient, and helpful way for our listeners to donate and for us to receive donations is through ongoing monthly Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) giving. EFTs cost us the least to process, resulting in more of the donations going to the broadcast ministry. Ongoing monthly donors who commit to give by EFT (or by credit card) do not have to call in a pledge each year because we process their gifts monthly until we are notified to discontinue.

So, what are the payment methods I can use to donate or fulfill my pledge?

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)/Automatic Clearing House (ACH) – You choose which date you want your gift to be deducted from your account. This is the most economical way to give as the banking fees are minimal.

Credit Card/Debit Card – You can make a contribution by credit card whenever you choose or you can set up recurring gifts, where the station charges your credit/debit card the same day each month.

Personal Checks – Please mail all checks, made payable to Strong Tower Christian Media, to 1205 Whitefield Circle, Xenia, OH 45385.

Bank Checks  – You can set up payments on your bank’s website to be sent to the station. We ask you to have checks mailed to 1205 Whitefield Circle, Xenia, OH 45385 along with your name, phone numbers, and, if possible, email address so that we can properly receipt these gifts and contact you if we have questions. Many donors appreciate this convenient option for their recurring gifts.

Who can I contact if I have questions regarding my donations?

The toll free number is 877-455-9325 or locally 937-424-1641. Normal business hours are M-F 8:00am – 4:00pm. You can also email patti@godsfm.org.

How does business advertising and underwriting on the station affect the donations needed?

Very little. The station depends primarily on individual donors to carry on this broadcast ministry. A small percentage of our overall expenses are covered by a few advertisers and underwriters heard on our stations. Although we are grateful to be able to offer our friends who own and operate Christian businesses and organizations the opportunity to support the station through limited advertising and underwriting, we still depend very heavily on the faithful and generous support of our listeners.
